Marketplace fee calculators that show what you actually keep.
Every marketplace quotes a headline percentage. None of them quote the number that actually leaves your payout. Pick your platform and enter one price — you will see the full fee stack and your real profit per sale.

The same $100 sale, five platforms
No cost of goods, no ads, no shipping charged — just what each platform removes from a $100 order at standard rates.
| Platform | Fees on $100.00 | You keep | Effective rate |
|---|---|---|---|
| Etsy | $9.95 | $90.05 | 9.9% |
| eBay | $14.00 | $86.00 | 14.0% |
| Amazon FBA | $19.30 | $80.70 | 19.3% |
| TikTok Shop | $8.30 | $91.70 | 8.3% |
| Shopify | $3.59 | $96.41 | 3.6% |
Highest payout of the five: Shopify. That is not the whole story — a marketplace brings buyers, a store brings a bill.
Why the headline rate is never the real rate
Fees stack
A 6.5% transaction fee plus processing plus a listing fee plus ads is not 6.5%. It is usually double, and on a $10 item the fixed fees alone can take a third.
Shipping gets charged too
On Etsy and eBay the percentage fee applies to shipping. Offering "free" shipping does not avoid commission on the postage you paid.
Fixed costs hide
A subscription fee feels small monthly and looks very different divided by your actual order count. The Shopify calculator does that division.
Rates change quietly
Surcharges and per-order fees appear without much notice. Every rate here carries the date it was checked, so you know what you are relying on.
Common questions
How accurate are these calculators?
The math follows each platform's published seller fee schedule as of November 2026. One-off fees exist: currency conversion, regulatory operating fees, category surcharges, and ad attribution. Treat a result as a strong planning number, not a settlement statement.
Which platform takes the least?
On a straight transaction basis a Shopify store is cheapest at roughly 3.2%. On total cost it is rarely that simple: marketplaces charge more per sale but bring the buyer, while a store is cheaper per sale and charges you to find one.
Why does my payout not match my statement?
Usually shipping, sales tax, ads, refunds or a one-off fee. Sales tax collected on the platform's behalf is not your revenue, so exclude it before comparing.
Is this free to use?
Yes, every calculator is free and runs in your browser. Nothing you type is sent anywhere or stored.
