How these calculators work

Every number on this site traces back to a published platform fee schedule, checked November 2026. Here is exactly what is modelled and what is left out.

What is modelled

The fees a seller is charged on a normal order: listing or per-order fees, percentage commission, payment processing, and the optional ad or affiliate rates each platform runs.

What is not modelled

Sales tax (not your revenue), refunds, chargebacks, currency conversion, regulatory operating fees, subscription add-ons and any fee that depends on your personal account history.

Where rates come from

Each platform's official seller fee documentation, linked from the calculator page. Where a category-based rate applies, the calculator lets you pick the rate instead of guessing one for you.

How to use it

Enter your real numbers, then work backwards: set the price until the profit per sale is a margin you would accept. Fixed fees punish cheap products hardest, so test your low-price items first.

Rates change. Marketplaces adjust fees and add surcharges with little notice. Results are a planning estimate, not a settlement statement. If a number here disagrees with your payout report, trust the report — then fix the rate in assets/fee-data.js.
