How much does Amazon FBA take per unit?
Most categories charge a 15% referral fee on the sale price plus a fulfillment fee of roughly $3 to $15 depending on size and weight. On a $30 item that is usually $8 to $10 in total, before storage.
What is the 3.5% FBA surcharge?
A fuel and logistics-related surcharge applied to FBA fulfillment fees in the US and Canada starting April 17, 2026. It is a percentage of the fulfillment fee, not of your selling price.
Why is my fulfillment fee different from the calculator?
Fulfillment depends on exact packaged dimensions, shipping weight and size tier. Use this calculator for planning, then confirm the precise fee in Seller Central for the actual unit.
Does storage matter at low volume?
A few cents per unit per month looks harmless until slow-moving stock sits for two quarters. Storage is charged on cubic feet, and the Q4 rate is several times the January–September rate.
